Supply Management Strategy & Metrics
This aspect of our package relates to supply management strategy and metrics.
Benchmark Studies
Cross industry best in class benchmarks are available and will be compared to a client's performance. We have collected data from manufacturing and service industries, education, and government supply management performance over the last 14 years.
Supply Management Direction Setting Model
A model that evaluates internal strengths and weaknesses as well as market forces and environmental factors is used to assess or create your strategy and objectives. The tools to be used include our direction-setting model, and policy deployment system analysis. We also conduct a excellence survey to assess the organization’s commitment to improvement.
Best in Class Assessment
A system of 56 elements is used to evaluate the gap in supply management pursuit of excellence. Clients are categorized in one of four maturity levels along the 53 elements organized in the areas of strategy, organization, people and culture, process, and technology. For the manufacturing industry, we will assess the four stages of manufacturing’s strategic role.
Efficiency Analysis
This is a multi-dimensional generic tool that is used to determine the effectiveness of supply management in adding value to the organization. We review the client’s strategy, management, procedures and staff capabilities. We also use a supply chain opportunity assessment to evaluate supply chain practice and performance. Further, we assess the purchasing organization’s quality assurance practices using ISO standards. Last, for manufacturing clients, we review your current capability based on inventory tracking, level of automation, product quality, organizational discipline, and management focus.
We conduct a series of tasks to improve efficiency using tools such as the Category Management Toolkit, Proposal Analysis Workbench, and Total Cost Calculators.
