Organizational Design & Staffing
This aspect of our package of services relates to organizational design and staffing. Calyptus performs comprehensive organizational review and studies job classifications, workload and staffing. We employ Full-Time-Equivalent (FTE) analysis tools to evaluate staffing based on best practices and industry standards. This work covers both managerial and unionized workforces.
Organizational Assessment
An organizational assessment tool is used to determine the effectiveness of a given organizational structure and culture. We follow a five step method to assess organization structure alternatives. 98 elements are evaluated across a number of key dimensions. For manufacturing clients, vision and strategy, objectives, measurements, continuous improvement and supply chain improvement are assessed. We assess the organizational quality using an Baldrige-related tool.
Headcount Studies
A headcount calculator is used to compare the client's headcount to best in class practice. This algorithm uses standardized factors is estimating the number of headcount required based on standard work and job categories.
RACI chart analysis
This tool is used to link the current roles and responsibilities currently being demonstrated with those included in policies and procedures and other organizational guidance.
Communication Plan Evaluation
We evaluate the client's communication and change management plan using generic standards. 6 elements of the communication plan are evaluated and critiqued for improvement. A communication effectiveness scale is used to evaluate individual and organizational communications.
