PURCHASING IMPROVEMENT

Using Deming’s 14 Points, Senge’s systems thinking and the total quality management philosophy, Calyptus Consulting Group, Inc. assesses purchasing systems and recommends improvements. We also participate in the implementation of improvement plans.

Using a proprietary 6-step continuous improvement process and numerous quality tools, we analyze the procedures used in accomplishing subcontracting and purchasing functions. We evaluate the quantitative and qualitative aspects of purchasing results and determine gaps in performance. We establish work teams to accomplish targeted projects to meet higher-level goals based on benchmarked results. 

We introduce the notion of saving costs and improving the use of time through our implementation activities. Typically, we work as a facilitator or full team member in the project work, leaving the team leadership role to the client organization.
