Effective Subcontract
Management
This 3-day program discusses the
essential aspects of subcontract administration and supplier management.
Participants will learn to identify risks and work with suppliers to
reduce and retire project risks, be able to better manage the change
order process, and understand and apply various techniques to track and
manage supplier cost, quality, and schedule performance. We will
describe the steps in the effective management of subcontracts, from
generating the statement of work to managing subcontractor performance.
Subcontracts are large dollar value procurements that are related to
Government Prime Contracts. Outsourcing, and System Contracting efforts.
The aspects of make versus buy, roles and responsibilities, total costs,
supply chain management, and process improvement will be covered.
Participants will be able to develop a step-by-step plan for managing
large scale subcontracts within their organization.
